Solution
Constrain the parts in the same manner as they are constrained in the
vehicle, by using the Laser Tracker to:- Measure the registering points on the part
- Manipulate a best fit of the design points and measured points
- Scan the parts, particularly paying attention to:
- Areas of large surface variations
- Centres of holes
- Centres of anchor holes & slotted holes
- Key interface points on the plot
